Jesus left all the beauty and splendor of heaven to die on the cross for our sins. Jesus was the Word of God in the flesh because when He spoke to people He spoke for God. Have you ever asked Mom if you could use some thing that belonged to your Dad? Mom may have said yes or no, but she was able to answer for Dad knowing what Dad would want even though Dad may not have been around. Mom spoke for Dad in giving you an answer, because she was the one who was home. It is much the same way when Jesus was here on earth, He spoke for God because He was the one here on earth and knew what God would or would not want.
