The
Coming
of the
Great
King -
Zechariah
14:1-11:
Much of
the book
of
Zechariah
looks
forward
to the
restoration
of
Israel
and the
coming
of the
great
King.
This
last
chapter
is no
exception.
The Lord
will
come
down and
fight
for
Jerusalem.
His feet
shall
stand on
the
Mount of
Olives.
The
mount
will
split in
half
making a
valley
through
its
midst
and
through
that
valley
will
flow
rivers
of
living
waters.
Then
shall
the Lord
be king
over all
the
earth.
What a
beautiful
description
of the
second
coming
of
Christ
and the
setting
up of
His
kingdom
on
earth! -

A Seed
Shall
Come
Forth -
Isaiah
65:1-12:
As so
often
happened
with the
nation
of
Israel,
God
found
her to
be a
rebellious
people;
a people
who had
forsaken
the
Lord. In
the mean
while,
the Lord
is found
of those
who
sought
Him not.
And,
though
the
rebellious
people
will be
judged
for
their
iniquities,
a
remnant—a
seed—shall
come
forth to
seek the
Lord and
they
will
receive
His
blessings.

The Joy
of Going
into the
House of
God -
Psalm
84:1-12:
In this
happy
psalm,
the
psalmist
glories
in
coming
to and
spending
time in
the
house of
the
Lord. He
longs
for the
Lord who
is his
sun and
shield.
He has
full
confidence
in God’s
blessings
on those
who
trust in
Him. Let
us go
with the
psalmist
into the
glorious
presence
of God
and
enjoy
our time
with
Him.

10502 - The Prayer of
Solomon - 2Chronicles 6:
This chapter records the prayer of King
Solomon at the dedication of the newly built Temple in Jerusalem. This
portion deals with his approach unto God and the beginning of his prayer.
Solomon first blessed the congregation and then blessed the name of the
Lord. Then, He reminded
the Lord of promises yet to be kept. We can learn much from the prayer of
Solomon. -
10501 - A Devoted Servant
- Deuteronomy 34:1-12:
Moses came to the end of his life after
viewing the land of Israel from Mount Pisgah. The “servant of the LORD”
finished his life for God and was buried by Him. He was a special kind of
prophet who knew the Lord face to face. He showed the signs of God to Israel
and to Egypt. Even at 120, his eye was not dim and his natural force was not
abated. He was truly a special man of God.

The
Almighty
God -
Genesis
17:1-27:
God
appeared
to Abram
and
identified
Himself
as the
Almighty
God. He
was not
just one
of many
gods; He
is the
only
Supreme
God. The
Lord
changed
the
names of
Abram
and
Sarai to
Abraham
and
Sarah to
show His
power to
change
their
lives
and
their
future.
He
promised
a son to
Abraham
and
Sarah
and
demanded
that
Abraham
and the
men in
his
household
practice
circumcision
as the
token of
the
covenant.
The
Almighty
God will
do a
great
work in
their
lives.-
10429 - Our Life in Christ - Romans
6:1-12:
The day of redemption for
Israel will be a day of refreshing from the Lord (v.1), a day of
removal of false prophets (v.2-5), a day of remembrance of the
rejected shepherd (v.6-7), and a day of refining for the remnant
of the people (v.8-9). It is the day when the people of Israel
will say, “The LORD is my God.” We can all rejoice in what a day
that will be!

The Day
of
Redemption
-
Zechariah
13:1-9:
The day
of
redemption
for
Israel
will be
a day of
refreshing
from the
Lord
(v.1), a
day of
removal
of false
prophets
(v.2-5),
a day of
remembrance
of the
rejected
shepherd
(v.6-7),
and a
day of
refining
for the
remnant
of the
people
(v.8-9).
It is
the day
when the
people
of
Israel
will
say,
“The
LORD is
my God.”
We can
all
rejoice
in what
a day
that
will be!

Our
Iniquities
Have
Taken Us
Away -
Isaiah
64:1-12:
Isaiah,
as a
prophet
of the
southern
kingdom
of
Judah,
writes
at a
time of
great
distress.
The
northern
kingdom
of
Israel
has been
destroyed
by the
Assyrians
and the
Assyrians
are
working
to
systematically
destroy
Judah as
well.
Isaiah
seeks
divine
intervention
but also
recognizes
that
Judah’s
own
iniquities
have
brought
this
judgment
on them.
He
appeals
to the
mercy of
God. -
10426 -
Calling
God to
Action -
Psalm
83:1-18:
This
psalm
calls on
God to
take
vengeance
on the
enemies
of God’s
people.
God's
been
silent
while
His
enemies
have
lifted
up their
head and
joined
forces
against
Him. The
psalmist
cries
out for
God to
return
evil on
their
heads
that men
may know
Jehovah
is the
Most
High
God.
