What can we learn from Lot's failures? Lot faced some of the same trials that you face. What will you do?

This is the story of the judgment of Jesus before He was taken to be crucified. However, in reality, it is the story of the judgment of us all.

By looking at the names of the Lord in the scriptures, we can see some of His different attributes. God gives Himself these names so that we may learn a little more of who He is and so that our faith may be increased to trust in Him. Are you trusting in the LORD JEHOVAH?

The tree is mentioned three times in the Garden of Eden, but it is lost because of the fall of man. However, it is mentioned three times in the New Jerusalem as restored to its rightful place in the midst of paradise. Follow the tree of life through the scriptures and see that Jesus Christ truly did come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Our life is tied up with thousands of thin cords. Some of them tie us to the world and its pleasures; some of them tie us to God and His service.

We never know what our lives or even a day may bring forth. We only know that we will face many trials in our lifetime. But rest assured, God has a purpose for these trials and temptations. If we will trust in Him, He will give us the victory and show us even greater blessings.

The demands of the Christian life are great. You are not sure if you can match up. The truth is, you cannot. We can only serve the Lord fully through His enabling grace and power. That is the message of this sermon.

General revelation is God’s revelation of truth to all men at all times. It comes through means such as circumstances (or God’s providential working in the affairs of men), conscience (the inner knowledge of men), and creation. Special revelation is God’s revelation to special or particular people at special or particular times (Hebrews 1:1).

In the story of the Prodigal, the elder brother has all the qualities that make for a faithful, upright church member. But his sins are serious and multiplied. Are they your sins?

What is the purpose of your life? Would you serve the Lord if the only option presented to you was a job that you did not like to do? Do you murmur and complain in front of your friends, coworkers, or children about serving the Lord? Is your heart right in service? If not maybe you should go back to the example of Jacob and serve with love.
