On three different occasions the Apostle Paul admonishes believers to be followers of him (see 1Corinthians 4:6And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

See All...).  With this in mind we ought to preach the gospel which Paul preached.  We find this gospel defined in 1Corinthians 15:1-4 [1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; [2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
See All..., where it says the gospel includes the death, burial and resurrection according to the scriptures.  Today we are taught by many of the necessity of baptism for salvation.  Apparently Paul did not know this for he said, "For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel" (1Corinthians 1:17For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
See All...).  Notice that Paul contradicted the gospel and baptism as if they were not the same.  If Paul believed that baptism was necessary for salvation, then he was one of the biggest hypocrites ever to walk the face of this earth.  He should have been going all over the countryside dunking people in water instead of wasting his time in prison for preaching the gospel.
