The Molten Sea (Daily Portion 10411)
This chapter continues the description of Solomon’s Temple and related items. In this passage, the molten sea is of special interest. There was nothing quite like it in the tabernacle of Moses. Notice also the great size of the items that do have parallels in the tabernacle.
Turn Us Again (Daily Portion 10405)
In this psalm, Israel has suffered affliction and destruction and now seeks the help of God her Shepherd. Israel is as a vine which once filled the land in prosperity but has been burned and cut down. The psalmist pleas with God to visit this vine and cause His face to shine on them once again.
David is Caught in His Sins
In this chapter, we learn three great lessons: 1) your sin will surely catch up with you and find you out; 2) the judgment of sin is more than you can ever imagine; 3) God shows great mercy to those who truly repent and turn to Him.
David’s Sin With Bathsheba
In this chapter, one of the great men of God in the Bible falls deeply into sin. How could David do such a thing?

The Lord’s Deliverance of Israel (Daily Portion 10331)
Mostly, this chapter deals with the Lord’s deliverance of Israel at the end of the tribulation. It looks forward to the time when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the Lord. At this time, the enemies of Israel will either be destroyed or else transformed into admirers and supporters. The prisoners of hope will be released and the Lord will appear over the Israelites to defend them. The chapter ends by declaring the great goodness and beauty of the Lord.
Dispensations and Creation Week
The six-day creation story as found in Genesis (along with the seventh day of rest) provides a perfect picture of the seven dispensations as generally taught by dispensationalists. Match each day of creation with the corresponding dispensation and you see some very interesting parallels.
The Childhood of Samuel
Samuel, the gift of God to a praying mother, ministered in his early years. God worked in his life and used him mightily.
Seven Natural Divisions of the Bible
God is a God of order. He is also a God who divides. Even on the first day of creation, He divided the light from the darkness. And, He expects His servants to rightly divide His word (2Timothy 2:15).
