We have heard it taught and preached on many times that Jesus Christ is to be preeminent in our lives, but according to the Bible the preeminence of Christ has nothing to do with you.

The saints are told three times to “fret not” (Psalm 37:1,7-8). Fret comes from a root word meaning to eat or to devour. We will find that Jesus Christ is the only solution to the disease of a fretting heart.

Such is the lot of all those who have not put their trust for eternity in the finished work of Christ.
