Solomon’s Instructions to His Son
Scripture Passage:
Proverbs 3:1-35 INTRODUCTION: In this chapter, Solomon addresses “My son” three times (Proverbs 3:1My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
See All..., 11, 21). The chapter gives various instructions, but also spends much time declaring the benefits of obeying this instruction. Solomon is trying to convince his son of the value of wisdom. We all need the teaching of this chapter.
- INSTRUCTIONS CONCERING THE LORD (Proverbs 3:1-12 [1] My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
[2] For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
[3] Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
