What's Wrong With God
Introduction: People today have no concept of loyalty. We are wishy-washy. Today you love something and tomorrow you will hate it. That business down the road has treated you so good that you would never go elsewhere until they do something you don’t like one time, and then you’ll never go back. We make decisions quicker than you can blink and then forsake them just as fast. The bad thing is that this has rolled over into our relationship with God. He did something spectacular today so you are ready to do it all for Him and tomorrow something bad happens and it is all God’s fault. Today God would plead with you. He wants you to show Him what He has done wrong. The conclusion of the whole matter will be that we have done wrong by denying such a God complete authority over our life.

[4] For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
[5] Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
[6] Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
See All...) - Why Wouldn’t You Get Saved
- Knowing that He is Just – God would not be right to allow a person into Heaven based upon their own merit
- Knowing that He knows all – God knows every secret thing about you including your innermost thoughts and has more than enough on you to sentence you to an eternal damnation
- Knowing that He is Righteous - God is the standard by which all things are judged and one must obtain His righteousness to gain eternal life
- Knowing that He is Love – God manifested His love for sinners openly when the Lord Jesus Christ gave His life. God’s justice could only be satisfied by His own righteousness and through Christ’s death on the cross that righteousness is available to whosoever.
- Knowing that He is Compassionate – God looks down at the lost soul today pleading for you to come. You are as a sheep without a shepherd wondering aimlessly through life and He wants to be your Lord.
- Why Wouldn’t You Serve Him
- Knowing that He is Love – God has given all for you. Jesus Christ humbled Himself and took on a body of flesh to take the wrath of God for you. What is there that He could ask of you that you shouldn’t do?
- Knowing that He is Gracious – God has cleared our past sins and failures and made us a new creature in Christ. We gave much time and effort to the work of Satan whilst we were lost why not redeem the time for Christ? What could He ask of us that He doesn’t deserve for us to respond with yes?
- Knowing that He is Longsuffering – God put up with us rejecting Him day after day and year after year, yet He kept dealing with us. Why make Him wait for you to surrender to serve Him? Hasn’t He done enough waiting?
- Knowing that He is Faithful – God has promised us that He will never leave us nor forsake us. He has been there when you felt good and wanted to fellowship with Him and He has been there when you have ignored Him. Why not give yourself to the One who has already given Himself to you?
Conclusion: Why wouldn’t you give up everything for God? What is keeping you from it? Is it a friend? They will forsake you. Is it a spouse? They will fail you. Is it some sort of besetting sin? It will leave you miserable. Are you afraid you will have to change something about your life? You never give up something for God here that you don’t receive much more in return from Him. Why not give yourself to Him right now? Surrender to Him for service, come get saved. Just come. He pleads with you.
