God Is Weary

Scripture Passage:
Isaiah 1:1-31

Introduction: We live in a world that wants to believe that God is always happy: He is pleased with everybody, and those perceived as evil, are really good (Malachi 2:17). Even the saved have become increasingly deceived by this philosophy. They flock to so-called churches hoping to hear something positive about God’s satisfaction with man, when, in reality, God is weary of putting up with what is going on.

        2. Israel doth not consider.

          3. A seed of evildoers
          4. Children that are corrupters
        2. Their actions

      1. Their unwillingness to be corrected (Isaiah 1:5-6)
      2. Their present condition (Isaiah 1:7-9)
  3. THE DECLARATION OF GOD’S WEARINESS (Isaiah 1:10-15)
    1. The Source of His Weariness (Isaiah 1:10-14)
      1. Their likeness to Sodom and Gomorrah (Isaiah 1:10; Revelation 11:8)
      2. The multitude of religious practice (Isaiah 1:11-14)
    2. The Results of His Weariness (Isaiah 1:15)

      2. Reason with the Lord (Isaiah 1:18)
      3. Choose obedience (Isaiah 1:19-20)

    1. Chastisement (Isaiah 1:24-25)
    2. Restoration (Isaiah 1:26-27)
    3. Judgment (Isaiah 1:28-31)

Conclusion: God is weary, and He may be weary with you. How long are we going to continue pretending God loves everything we do? It’s time to repent!
