The New Testament Church 0004 - Lesson 5

Its Functions (Continued)

  1. THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION (2 Corinthians 5:18) (Continued)
    1. The Great Controversy (Continued)
      1. The great omission (aka The great commission) (Continued)
        1. Assumptions
          1. We assume that “the gospel” is the same gospel as Paul preached (Mark 16:15; Romans 16:25-27).
          2. We assume that the disciples understood salvation by grace through faith for the gentiles (Acts 10:9-48; Acts 15:1-11).
          3. We assume that the baptism of Matthew and Mark are the same baptism which we implement on new believers today (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38).
          4. We assume that the signs are more strongly connected to the early church than they are to the Jewish kingdom (Mark 16:17-18).
