Immersed in Baptisms

Published Date:
May 11, 2009

The word baptism means immersion. People do not often consider that there are actually several baptisms contained within the scripture.

Interestingly, the Bible begins with a baptism and ends with a baptism. Both of these baptisms are baptisms of judgment. The first is the baptism of the earth (Genesis 1:2; Genesis 1:6-10), and the last is the baptism of the unsaved in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15).
