All Inhabitants Are Reputed as Nothing - Daniel 4:35
See All...
INTRODUCTION
Nations are vulnerable! At any moment, the Lord could raise up a new nation or destroy one that currently exists. Military might, a sound economy, a good job market, and great leadership will offer no resistance when once the Lord has set His mind against a nation. According to Daniel 4:35And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
See All..., "all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he [the Lord] doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?" The Lord does whatsoever pleases Him (Psalm 135:6Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHTS
- (For smaller children) Our God is in the heavens. Even though He is in the heavens, He rules the earth as He desires (Job 12:23He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again.
See All...; Psalm 115:3But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
See All...; Isaiah 40:17-18 [17] All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity. [18] To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?
See All..., 22-25; Isaiah 46:9-10 [9] Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, [10] Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
See All...). - How much stock do you put in the security offered you by the nation in which you live? Do you fail to trust the Lord because of the current strength of your nation?
- Read Proverbs 21:1The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
See All... and 1 Chronicles 29:12Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
See All.... How do these verses demonstrate the power God has over the nation in which you live? What could God do to your country over night?
