Why Hast Thou Made Me Thus?
See All...
INTRODUCTION
God made you. He made you a male or a female (Genesis 1:27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
See All...; Matthew 19:4And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
See All...). As such, He expects you to be what He made you in every way. Over time, the world and the Devil have placed great effort on blurring the lines of distinction between males and females. Perhaps one of the reasons is to make the sin of sodomy, a sin which led to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, acceptable in the eyes of mankind. God would not have it to be so. The Lord said that men ought to have short hair, while women ought to have long hair (1 Corinthians 11:14-15 [14] Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
[15] But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHTS
- (For smaller children) Doing the opposite of what God says is rebellion and pride. It will always harm us and cause us to miss blessings. Absalom was proud of his long hair. It cost him his life (2 Samuel 18:9And Absalom met the servants of David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away.
See All..., 14-15). Mary could not have shown honour to Jesus in the manner she did if she had had short hair like a man (John 12:3Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
See All...). - Why would the Lord create male and female distinctly and then be satisfied for them to lose their distinctions? What are some distinctions that need to be reinstituted?
- What does the word abomination mean? What kind of clothes might pertain to a man? What kind of clothes might be considered a woman’s garment?
PRAYER NEEDS
- Ask God to help you distinguish yourself as a male or female.
- Ask God to help you refrain from questioning how He made you.
