The Staying of the Sun
Five kings meet their doom. The sun and moon stop for Joshua. The Lord fights for Israel.
Tricked by the Inhabitants of Gibeon
Those who desire to serve the Lord often fail by presuming upon Him. We get a plan and expect God to back us up. But should we not get the plan from God in the first place?
The Fall of Jericho
Jesus appears as the captain of the host of the Lord and gives the plan for taking Jericho. The walls fall flat and Israel wins.
The Cities of Refuge
The cities of refuge were locations where those accused of murder, but innocent, could flee for refuge. Once inside the city, the accused was free from the wrath of the accuser. Not only was this a great blessing to those in the Old Testament, but in Christ we have a refuge that far exceeds the benefits of the cities of refuge.

Why Elijah's Prayer Was Answered
Elijah received mighty answers to his bold prayers. The text before us provides insight into why these audacious prayers were answered by God. We would do well to learn from Elijah’s example.
Water From the Well
It's the story of three of David's mighty men who break through the battle line of the Philistines in order to bring David a drink of water from the well at Bethlehem. Though David had longed for the water, he does not drink of it because of the danger the men exposed themselves to in order to give to him. So, he poured the water out to the Lord. What's the significance of this story? How can we apply it to our lives?
To Walk As He Walked
Jesus Christ is our living example for the godly life. We are to walk like Him. But we are also to allow Him to live in us and through us.
