Teach Others
See All...
INTRODUCTION
The world has many teachers. Unfortunately, the vast majority of what is being taught and learned is ungodly at the very core. In order to combat this propagation of false teaching, the Lord calls upon His people to teach the truth. He placed men in the New Testament church to spread the truth through teaching and preaching (Acts 13:1Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

[2] That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
[3] The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
[4] That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
[5] To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
[6] Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
[7] In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
[8] Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

According to the scriptures, this is the will of God (Hebrews 5:12For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHTS
- (For smaller children) When Aquila (a tentmaker) and his wife, Priscilla, heard Apollos speak in the synagogue, they realized he needed further instruction and taught him the way of God more perfectly. Apollos was willing to learn and changed his message. God wants us to know His word and be able to teach others (Acts 18:24-26 [24] And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
[25] This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
[26] And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
See All...). - What are some sources of education for today’s youth? Are those sources generally teaching the truth or falsehood? What are you doing to ensure that young people know the truth?
- The world understands the importance of education. This is why they have such a hold on what is taught in schools and universities. What efforts are you making to teach people the Bible?
PRAYER NEEDS
- Ask God to give you people who are hungry to learn the truth.
- Ask the Lord to help you to be biblical in your teaching.
