INTRODUCTION: This passage records the reigns of five kings of Israel and one king of Judah. It is mostly a story of conspiracies and short reigns. Especially in Israel, we see the time growing short as the reigns become less and less stable. Judgment is coming soon and time for true repentance is fading away. The end of the reign of Pekah of Israel (2 Kings 15:31And the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
