Strength Will Meet the Need - Deuteronomy 33:25

Strength Will Meet the Need - Deuteronomy 33:25

INTRODUCTION

Man is not promised an endless supply of strength; rather, God promises to provide the necessary grace and strength for the present trials. The amount of strength available to man will be equal to his need. Like Caleb, a man can be strong enough to conquer his enemies in battle later in life if duty demands it (Joshua 14:11). Like Paul, a man will always be offered sufficient grace and strength to handle the infirmities he faces at that very moment of life (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). This is why the scripture says believers can go to the Lord in prayer to "find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16). God’s strength will always arrive on time and will more than equal the trial it faces.

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHTS

  • (For smaller children) When we go in the strength of the Lord, we can do anything He wants us to do (Psalm 71:16a; Philippians 4:13). Consider the people in Hebrews 11:32-38. God always gives strength (Isaiah 41:10; Psalm 37:23-24).
  • Have you ever witnessed another person go through a trial and think there is no way you could do so well if it were you enduring the trial? Did you later go through something similar only to find God’s grace and strength was sufficient?
  • What does God’s offer of strength suggest about His nature? Have you benefited from His offer?

PRAYER NEEDS

  • Ask God for the strength you need to face today’s trials.
  • Thank God for His goodness in offering strength.
