The Responsibility of Restoration
Scripture Passage:
Galatians 6:1-5 Introduction: What happens when a brother or sister in the Lord falls by the wayside? How are God’s people supposed to react? What is the main goal of the believer pertaining to the fallen brother or sister?
- THE FALL (Galatians 6:1Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

[33] Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.
[34] Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
[35] Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
[36] And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
[37] They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
[38] (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
See All...; Hebrews 11:37They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

[2] Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

- The spiritual are strong (Romans 15:1We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
See All...) - The spiritual man will be established (Romans 1:11For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
See All...) - The spiritual man judgeth all things (1 Corinthians 2:15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
See All...) - The spiritual man acknowledges the Bible as the commandments of God (1 Corinthians 14:37If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
See All...) - In the Spirit of Meekness

See All...) - Connected to humility (2 Corinthians 10:1Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
See All...; 2 Timothy 2:24-26 [24] And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, [25] In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; [26] And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
See All...) - THE CONSIDERATION (Galatians 6:1-5 [1] Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
[2] Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
[3] For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
[4] But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
[5] For every man shall bear his own burden.
See All...) - Considering Thyself (Romans 12:3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
See All...; 1 Corinthians 10:12Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
See All...) - Lest Thou Also be Tempted
Conclusion: Do you have a heart for fallen brothers and sisters? How many more people could possibly be serving faithfully in local churches had someone had a burden for their restoration? Will you be a spiritual believer with a heart for restoration?

As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honour to a fool.
