Passing the Torch (Daily Portion 10313)
The Lord has told Moses that he will not be able to go into the Promised Land. However, we see Moses preparing the people and preparing Joshua as their leader to enter the land and conquer it. We, too, must learn to think beyond ourselves. We need to leave others with their eyes on the Lord and not afraid to follow Him.
Creation of Adam and Eve
David marveled how that man was “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). In another Psalm, he glories that man was made just “a little lower than the angels” (Psalm 8:5). Study carefully the creation of Adam and Eve. Notice God’s original plan for man. See what you can learn about man’s original design.

Baptist World View
Pastor and author James Beller has created a new site dedicated to the reestablishment of first principles as believed and taught by earlier Baptists. He states in his introduction: "The Baptists of America are in mortal danger. Our churches face extinction and our principles extermination. Our enemies deem our principles dangerous. The day is coming when the antichrist himself will not tolerate our theology and practice. I am advocating we declare a war--a war over first principles. This war is about antichrist, and the New World Order. It is about the foundations of American government and the direction of our country. It is about Baptist principles and the foundation of liberty." I recommend you give the site a visit and consider the material there.

Homeschool Fever
According to today's Wall Street Journal, the United States had its largest outbreak of measles for nine years in May of 2005. Indiana reported 34 cases in one outbreak (there were only 27 cases among all U.S. residents in 2004). Interestingly, all but one of the patients were out of the same church and 20 of these were home-schooled children. A 17-year-old girl in the church had taken a mission trip to an orphanage in Romania, had contracted the measles there, and had attended a church-wide gathering the day after she returned to the States. Most of the children who caught the measles had not been vaccinated.

Three Kings and Some Land 2
Comments we received in regard to "Three Kings and Some Land": Hi Pastor Reagan, I have been studying in the book of Jeremiah and read the chapter you are quoting yesterday. My KJV Bible spells the kings name "Nebuchadrezzer" I checked my wifes KJV and it says the same thing. However you are spelling it "Nebuchadnezzar" I checked my concordance and it says these are the same. I was wondering if you had any insight as to why the different spellings. I don't think there are two different kings of Babylon. Just wondering??
