God Desires Our Communication - Exodus 25:22

God Desires Our Communication -Exodus 25:22

INTRODUCTION

God desires for people to learn to communicate so they can communicate with Him. Ever since the garden in Eden, God has longed for fellowship with the very people that He created (Genesis 3:8). Man communicates with God in prayer. Though this can be accomplished in the heart or aloud, it is done when a man conveys his thoughts or concerns to the Lord using words. God communicates with man through the scriptures. Before there were two people on the earth to communicate, communication existed between a man (Adam) and his God. Even in eternity, it would appear that the greatest form of communication will exist between the redeemed and the God who redeemed them.

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHTS

  • (For smaller children) God invites you to talk with Him (Jeremiah 33:3). His ears are open unto you (Psalm 34:15). The apostle Paul encouraged people to pray anytime (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Always be truthful with Him (Psalm 51:6; Psalm 145:18).
  • Do you struggle to communicate with the Lord in prayer? Do you find it difficult to convey the burdens of your heart? What hinders you from being able to communicate with God?
  • What kind of communication takes place in your home? How can this affect the ability of your family to communicate with God?

PRAYER NEEDS

  • Thank God for His desire to communicate with you.
  • Ask God to give you a longing to talk to Him on a daily basis.
