Faithful and True - Revelation 19:11
See All...
INTRODUCTION
It is not enough that the Lord is true. What if He were only true for a moment? What if He, at some point, determined it was no longer important or necessary to reveal the truth to mankind? Perhaps it was with these things in mind that the Lord made it a point to identify Himself as "Faithful and True" (Revelation 19:11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
See All...). He is, after all, "the faithful and true witness" (Revelation 3:14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
See All...; Jeremiah 42:5Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.

See All...; Revelation 21:5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
See All...; Revelation 22:6And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
See All...). This has been a source of comfort for the saints of God since the beginning of time, and will continue to be so throughout all eternity.
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHTS

See All...a; Hebrews 13:8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
See All...). We can count on Him forever (Psalm 100:5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
See All...; Psalm 111:5He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.
See All...b; Psalm 117:2For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.
See All...; Psalm 146:5-6 [5] Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: [6] Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
See All...). - What are some promises you have received from the Lord? How good would those promises be if God were not just as faithful as He is true?
- How can this truth, which is a blessing to believers, be a source of trouble and heartache for those who have not put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation?
PRAYER NEEDS
- Ask God to show you the beauties of His faithfulness and truth.
- Ask the Lord to help your loved ones come to know His truth.
