Blameless Sons of God - Philippians 2:14-15
See All...
INTRODUCTION
Christians frequently find it difficult to consistently make their practice align with their position in Christ. The saints of God are positionally blameless in Christ, but practically, each believer must strive daily to “be blameless and harmless . . . in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation.” In this world, believers represent the Lord as sons of God. As such, they should “do all things without murmurings and disputings.” Why is this so very important? The importance points to the fact that believers are to “shine as lights in the world.” It is imperative that every believer strives daily to live a godly life and preserves a godly testimony in a world that has little to no knowledge of God (Matthew 5:16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHTS
- (For children): Look at the testimony these men of God had with others: David (1 Samuel 29:3Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me unto this day?

See All..., 35); Enoch (Hebrews 11:5By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
See All...). We too should have a good testimony before others (1 Timothy 4:12Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
See All...). - (For everyone): Do you constantly bicker and complain about the conditions or circumstances of life? How does this affect the world? Are you blameless (practically speaking) when you do these things?
- How are you the best chance this world has to see what true righteousness and holiness is? What happens when believers fail to present a godly example?
PRAYER NEEDS
- Ask God to help you be blameless in the world.
- Ask the Lord to help you be a faithful servant for Him.
