What is a rereward? How is it a blessing that God is our rereward?

Many of the teachings about the Holy Ghost are false. But that is no reason to ignore Him. The Bible says much about the Holy Spirit and His working in the life of the believer. We have heard much of my life of the danger of sinning away our day of grace. This idea is that the Holy Spirit will only work in our hearts for so long, but at some time will cease and we are at that time, even if still alive, condemned to hell. Is it a Bible teaching? Is it possible that there are people among us who could never get saved?

Our life is tied up with thousands of thin cords. Some of them tie us to the world and its pleasures; some of them tie us to God and His service.

Ordination is first of all a simple confirmation that God has indeed called a man and that he has faithfully shown the evidences of this call. It places some honor from those who do the ordaining upon the man who is being ordained.

We never know what our lives or even a day may bring forth. We only know that we will face many trials in our lifetime. But rest assured, God has a purpose for these trials and temptations. If we will trust in Him, He will give us the victory and show us even greater blessings.

The demands of the Christian life are great. You are not sure if you can match up. The truth is, you cannot. We can only serve the Lord fully through His enabling grace and power. That is the message of this sermon.
